Fyris is a journey through the fire and ice of life as seen through the eyes of composer, Pat Leishman.  Following up i am echo's debut album, this new album expands upon Pat's unique blend of musicianship and emotion.

As Robert Frost wrote long ago:

        Some say the world will end in fire,
        Some say in ice.
        From what I've tasted of desire
        I hold with those who favor fire.
        But if it had to perish twice,
        I think I know enough of hate
        To say that for destruction ice Is also great
        And would suffice.

"As much as I'd like to think I'm in control of a song, I'm not. I can only make a song what it wants to be. I give it a jump start with a feeling or experience, but after that, any attempt at changing it's direction will only make it worse. It's like every song is the sentient embodiment of an emotion or thought, complete with a will of it's own."
